Our Curator in Chief Cornelia has had a fascination about art and space for many years. A native of Oberursel Germany, she grew up with public art expressions and protests as the Berlin Wall fell. Here in the United States she's been working on public art projects like murals and graffiti as well as yarn bombing for place making purposes for over 20 years. Well known in artist circles and the public sphere in the region, she travels extensively and enjoys alternative exhibition spaces especially. Examples of her personal preferences in exhibition and display can be found at the Dia Beacon in upstate New York and Turbine Hall at Tate Modern in London. In Chapman’s Brewing at the Electric Works Campus she sees a historic factory space that lends itself perfectly for a her latest project to bring art to all walls. allwalls.art aims to create a beautiful dialogue between art and space and build a deeper connection between art and the public.
Co-Founder and Area Impact Investor Scott grew up on a farm about 30 minutes from Fort Wayne. Went to school in Albion, undergrad at Trine in Angola. MBA from Notre Dame. In short, he’s a local. He loves art, but knows nothing about it other than the stuff he likes. He also loves using technology for practical purposes and he’s pretty good at that. He made the connection that cities are better when they have more art and artists in them, but buying local art can be a challenge. So, taking advantage of his technology background and his entrepreneurial spirit, he built the commerce platform that runs allwalls.art. The simplest explanation is that buying local art is an emotional decision and getting everything out of the way so you can buy what you love is what we do.
